During the pandemic of Covid-19 I have learned one essential thing the importance of connection. I have spent most of my life alone except for with my husband and children. Beyond that, I struggled to make friends, relate to others or just connect with others. Don't get me wrong, I socialize, advocate and help others that's my passion. But to really connect with others as friends was very difficult. Covid-19 made me realize how much I missed the connection in which yoga help me to find with others. The meditation and Satsang Friday's with a group of special women who changed my life. I learned that connection aided me in de-stressing from the daily labor that impacted me mentally, spiritually and physically. Even though we are required to wear mask and keep our social distance it is equally important to stay connected in order to alleviate the stress of COVID-19. Call a friend, write a letter or just get on a video chat for girl's night out. Find a way during those long weeks of working 50-60 hours for those of us who are considered essential employees to connect to someone.
If you know someone who is working those long hours reach out to them.
